Airbnb has reported the top ten destinations in the U.S. for fall travelers, pointing out that last-minute beach destinations and college towns lead the pack. With football season beginning, fans are eager to reserve their accommodations for upcoming games. Also, with summer ending, many travelers hope to squeeze in one last trip to the beach before the cold sets in. Below are the top U.S. destinations this fall based on the number of nights booked on Airbnb.
10) Wheat Ridge, CO
Wheat Ridge is part of the Denver metropolitan area, located immediately west of Denver’s city center. It’s a great place to stay if you want to be close to downtown Denver without being right in the middle of a big city. Fall is a great time to visit, with comfortable temperatures and beautiful scenery.
9) Lexington, KY
Lexington sits about an hour south of Cincinnati and is home to the famous horse racing track, Keeneland. Fall racing begins in October and lasts nearly the entire month. University of Kentucky fans also pour into the city throughout the fall to catch the Wildcat’s football games.
